About Us

In the end of June 2003, Steve went with his friend Jon to Camp Innabah, where Jon’s girlfriend was on staff.  It was there that Steve met Kim, if only for a minute as a big storm moved in.  Just a few days later though, Steve and Jon joined the camp staff for a round of miniature golf.  At the end of the night, Steve, almost off-hand, invited Kim to come down to his house for the first ever “Cinco de Julio” party that he and his roommate were hosting later that week.

Kim really had no intention of coming, but God has other plans.  A bad storm that day knocked out the power at the camp.  With no one and no power at camp, Kim decided that a silly party would have to be better.  It was there, on that night, that Kim and Steve, in the midst of a crowd, had their first real conversation and shared their visions and call in life.  For both of us, training people to serve in ministry was at the heart of our call.

After that night, Steve and Kim started hanging out and getting to know one another.  Our first date was on July 21st of that year.  We got engaged on November 8th and married July 31st of the next year.  Yes, just a year and 10 days between our first date and our wedding.

Much has changed since then. We have now been married for a little over 6 years. We’ve moved from Pennsylvania to Florida and back to Delaware and back to Florida. Steve is the Executive Pastor of Covenant Life Church. Kim primarily gets to be mom to Jeremiah and decorates cakes.
