The Phillies Win One Late

I have to admit, I’m surprised. I can’t think of a single other time all year that the Phillies have mounted a comeback like they did last night to win. In fact, I just did a search of the MLB Standings (you have to click on “1-Run” to display it in the table) and the Phillies are just 6-19 in 1 run games! The Mets, on the other hand, are 14-6.  If the Phillies were 12-13 in those 25 games instead of 13 games under .500, the Phillies would actually be leading the division right now.  All that to say, I am really surprised that the team that has coughed away so many close games this season actually won a game when they were trailing late.  Go Phillies!
